Shopping
As most of you probably know, Paris is the often called the capital
of Fashion. When it comes to shopping, it definitely is an even
more amazing city! Besides all the known attractions like Galeries
Lafayette (second picture) you can also find some amazing vintage
shops where you can get anything from lovely floral dresses to levis
denim shorts.
One saturday afternoon, a friend and me went to some shops I read
about online and I really enjoyed looking through all the clothes!
(By the way, yes I had to add some food pictures to this post..
I mean who doesnt like to stop for coffee when going shopping?)
Here are the adresses of the stores that
we liked the best:
Freep'star
20 rue de Rivoli
75002 Paris
Hippy Market
21 rue du Temple
75004 Paris
Kiliwatch
64 rue Tiquetonne
75002 Paris

Paris by night
If you ever visit Paris you have to make sure to stop by
the Eiffel tower at night! Once an hour it starts sparkling
and it is just beautiful. One evening, when me and some
friends went to Montmartre to have dinner, we decided
to visit the Eiffel tower after to see it by night.
We had to wait for around 30 minutes when we
arrived but if was definitely worth it!

Random photos
Here are just some random pictures from Paris that
I still found! They pretty much describe my time in
Paris... shopping and sightseeing (the first picture
shows a little part of a dress I bought there).
Of course not :) But the other two pictures were taken
during a little sightseeing tour around the Opera area
in Paris, where the EF school is located as well!
If you wanna see what the school looks like click
HERE to see the post about it that I did.

The castle of Versailles
A few weeks ago I made a post about my trip to Versailles.
But one week before I left, I went again with another friend
who had not been there yet and also to take a full tour
through the castle. The first visit, we unfortunatly did
not have enough time to see everything !
I have always been quite interested in french history
and of course Marie Antoinette! So I was really
excited when I saw her pictures and where she
actually lived in the castle of Versailles.
Definitely another recommendation of mine!

Eiffel tower picnic
For this post I want to tell you about another favorite
afternoon of mine. Having a picnic at the Eiffel Tower!
If you have ever been to Paris before, you know that
the Eiffel Tower is surrounded by a pretty big and nice
park area where you can always find a lot of people
meeting their friends, making music, taking pictures...
or simply laying in the sun and having a little picnic
just like we did!
Plus the weather was perfect for it :)
Doesn't it even look great on the pictures?

Au revoir Paris
Almost five days ago I had to say "au revoir" to my favorite city.
I planned on blogging again earlier but school started on monday
so unfortunatly I've been quite busy with it already. Anyway!
I had some really great last days in Paris and still have a bunch
pictures I want to show you. Above you can see what I bought
on friday to bring home for my family: Macarons!
The three weeks I spent in Paris with EF were amazing.
I really enjoyed school, the activities and of course the city!
If your planning on going abroad, I would definitely recommend
EF to you, especially for summer trips because it is the perfect
combinination of learning the language and exploring the city.
Talk to you soon!

City view
Part of my To Do list for Paris was to go up on the Arc De Triomph.
It wasnt planned to go there by night but the line to buy a ticket
was actually quite long, so the sun already started going down
when I was up, but seeing all the lights made it even better!

Freetime
In the beginning of this week I went to Montmartre again,
basically to visit the "Cafe des 2 Moulins" which you might
know from the popular Amelie movie and simply walk
around a little and take some pictures.
On my way there I passed Amorino and decided to get some
ice cream there! Doesn't it look amazing? You get to choose
as many flavors as you like and they make it look like a flower!
Tomorrow will be my last day in Paris but there are still a few
things planned. For example, I definitely want to go to Laduree
and get some macarons for my families (so parisian!) and also
me and two other girls from EF want to go up on the Eiffel
tower at night. So I hope it will be a nice last day!

The school
Bonjour everyone! Today I want to tell you a little bit about the
EF school in Paris. Above on the two pictures, can see the school
building. It is located in the 9th arrondissement with Galeries
Lafayette right around the corner.
The school itself is super modern! The class rooms are really light
and all named by famous places in Paris which makes it easy to find
your classes. The teachers and people from EF are all really nice as
well and will help you with everything!
Before your arrival, you had to take an online test, so that the
school would be able to put you in the right class depending
on your french skills. On our first day in Paris, we had to take
an oral test as well (basically just a short coversation with one
of the people from EF) so that we would definitely get into the
right class. The classes go from A1 up to C2.
Summing it up, I really like to school and definitely could
see myself studying here for a longer period of time!

Culture day
Just a quick little post today, since I just came back from school
but definitely have some plans for today since this will be my last
week here! By the way, a post about the school will come soon as well.
Anyway, yesterday I decided to spend some time in the Louvre area
and then visit the Museum Les Arts Decoratifs. After lunch, I took
the Metro to the Arc De Triomphe and walked down the Champs
Elysees! I am definitely planning on going up the Arc De Triomphe
since the view is supposed to be amazing I heared!

But we definitely had a really nice and fun evening. Here you can see a

Versailles
A really late "bonjour" today, but better late than never right?
Today has been the nicest day since I arrived so far. Colleen, Kailey,
Ellen and me went to Versailles today to see the gardens and the places
of Trianon including the estate of Marie Antoinette. It was one of nicest
places I have ever been to and it felt crazy seeing places where people
actually used to live many years ago.
Versailles is definitely my favorite place in Paris (even though it is outside
of Paris, but you get the idea) and I was really happy to go there.
Unfortunatly they already closed around 6 and werent able to see
the castle anymore and had to leave.
But we decided to go to another great place after it (yes, my second
favorite!) which I will show you in my nexts posts. See you then!

Pont des Arts
Yesterday afternoon, I took the Metro the Louvre area and simply walked a
little around. I also went to the Pont des Arts which is probably one of the
most popular bridges in Paris. Touristes like to go there to attack padlocks,
with their first names written on it, to the railing of the bridge and to throw the
key into the river. It is supposed to be a symbol or gesture of their love.
Later on, I spent some time sitting on the riverbank of the Seine just to
enjoy the nice weather and to take some pictures as well. Many people
were having picnics there, playing music, chatting with their friends or
simply laying in the sun. It is definitely a really nice place to relax and
I will go there again as soon as possible!
Around 8 pm I went back the residence where I met with roommate.
One hour later we left to meet up with two girls from Canada and Belgium.
Together we went near Bastille to go to bar and had a really nice evening.
We had to leave around 12 pm though to make sure to catch the last metro!
Summing it up, it was a really great day. :)

First day
Bonjour, bonjour! Yesterday I finally arrived in Paris.
After my short one hour flight, someone from EF picked
me up right at the airport and took me to the Residence which
is kind of a hotel but only for EF students. That way you meet
a lot of people as well! My roommate for the next three
weeks already waited for me in our room. Her name is Mira,
she is seventeen years old and from Sweden. She seems really
nice and I'm sure we will get along super well!
That day we didn't do anything special besides packing out and
walking a little around Paris. Oh! Not to forget, we had some
food at an expensive restaurant on Champs Elysees...
but it was really good and a nice beginning for our trip.
Today we had to be at the EF School around 9am to take our
oral tests. We also got introduced to everyone from the school
and a little tour around the quartier which also included the rooftop
of Galeries Lafayette (2nd photo). You really get an amazing view
all over Paris! After that, we had a picnik under the eiffel tower and
went the seine where we took a boat tour. I really enjoyed it so it
definitely was a successful day!

Packing for Paris
One day left till Paris, which also means: packing day!
Luckily I already started packing a few things yesterday
so that I would not have to deal with the whole "how do
I pack for three weeks" situation in one day. Smart idea!
Even though it turned out not to be as difficult as imagined.
Anyway, above you can see my suitcase and I was able to
pack quite a lot in it actually. I might take another smaller
suitcase as a carry-on with me though, just so I will have
enough space to pack things, that I will maybe buy in Paris!
My plane will leave around 11 tomorrow morning so I should
be arriving in Paris around 1 pm. I'm not really sure how I will
spend my first day then, probably just packing out and walking
a little around Paris. Also, I'm excited to find out who my room-
mate will be for the next weeks!

Inspiration
![]() |
Today I want to show you some pictures I just found
and really liked! Click here to get to weheartit.com
where I found them.
Now there are only four days left until I will go to
Paris. Today I spend my afternoon shopping with my
sister and my mom to buy a few clothes I will take
with me, since it apperently got really warm in Paris.
My next post might be about me trying to pack for almost
a month without overpacking (or at least trying to do so)!

Salut!
Hey everybody!
Seven days left until I will be spending three full weeks
in my favorite city with EF. I am hoping to discover many
new places, meet a lot of nice students from all over the
world and of course to improve my french language skills.
With this blog I will try my best to share my experience
with you and tell you all about what it is like studying with
EF in Paris over the summer. Maybe this might be helpful
for you if you want to study with EF as well!
For my first post, I would like to show you some of the
pictures I took during previous trips to Paris. Even though
I haven't been able to explore every part of the city yet,
I definitly have a few favorite places already.
For example the river bank of the Seine, of course the
Eiffel Tower, the shopping heaven Galeries Lafayette
and last but no least Ladurée, trying delicious Macarons
should be part of everyone's trip to Paris.
(Oh and last picture is me by the way!)
À bientôt!
