Au revoir Paris
Almost five days ago I had to say "au revoir" to my favorite city.
I planned on blogging again earlier but school started on monday
so unfortunatly I've been quite busy with it already. Anyway!
I had some really great last days in Paris and still have a bunch
pictures I want to show you. Above you can see what I bought
on friday to bring home for my family: Macarons!
The three weeks I spent in Paris with EF were amazing.
I really enjoyed school, the activities and of course the city!
If your planning on going abroad, I would definitely recommend
EF to you, especially for summer trips because it is the perfect
combinination of learning the language and exploring the city.
Talk to you soon!

City view
Part of my To Do list for Paris was to go up on the Arc De Triomph.
It wasnt planned to go there by night but the line to buy a ticket
was actually quite long, so the sun already started going down
when I was up, but seeing all the lights made it even better!

Freetime
In the beginning of this week I went to Montmartre again,
basically to visit the "Cafe des 2 Moulins" which you might
know from the popular Amelie movie and simply walk
around a little and take some pictures.
On my way there I passed Amorino and decided to get some
ice cream there! Doesn't it look amazing? You get to choose
as many flavors as you like and they make it look like a flower!
Tomorrow will be my last day in Paris but there are still a few
things planned. For example, I definitely want to go to Laduree
and get some macarons for my families (so parisian!) and also
me and two other girls from EF want to go up on the Eiffel
tower at night. So I hope it will be a nice last day!

The school
Bonjour everyone! Today I want to tell you a little bit about the
EF school in Paris. Above on the two pictures, can see the school
building. It is located in the 9th arrondissement with Galeries
Lafayette right around the corner.
The school itself is super modern! The class rooms are really light
and all named by famous places in Paris which makes it easy to find
your classes. The teachers and people from EF are all really nice as
well and will help you with everything!
Before your arrival, you had to take an online test, so that the
school would be able to put you in the right class depending
on your french skills. On our first day in Paris, we had to take
an oral test as well (basically just a short coversation with one
of the people from EF) so that we would definitely get into the
right class. The classes go from A1 up to C2.
Summing it up, I really like to school and definitely could
see myself studying here for a longer period of time!

Culture day
Just a quick little post today, since I just came back from school
but definitely have some plans for today since this will be my last
week here! By the way, a post about the school will come soon as well.
Anyway, yesterday I decided to spend some time in the Louvre area
and then visit the Museum Les Arts Decoratifs. After lunch, I took
the Metro to the Arc De Triomphe and walked down the Champs
Elysees! I am definitely planning on going up the Arc De Triomphe
since the view is supposed to be amazing I heared!

Versailles
A really late "bonjour" today, but better late than never right?
Today has been the nicest day since I arrived so far. Colleen, Kailey,
Ellen and me went to Versailles today to see the gardens and the places
of Trianon including the estate of Marie Antoinette. It was one of nicest
places I have ever been to and it felt crazy seeing places where people
actually used to live many years ago.
Versailles is definitely my favorite place in Paris (even though it is outside
of Paris, but you get the idea) and I was really happy to go there.
Unfortunatly they already closed around 6 and werent able to see
the castle anymore and had to leave.
But we decided to go to another great place after it (yes, my second
favorite!) which I will show you in my nexts posts. See you then!

Pont des Arts
Yesterday afternoon, I took the Metro the Louvre area and simply walked a
little around. I also went to the Pont des Arts which is probably one of the
most popular bridges in Paris. Touristes like to go there to attack padlocks,
with their first names written on it, to the railing of the bridge and to throw the
key into the river. It is supposed to be a symbol or gesture of their love.
Later on, I spent some time sitting on the riverbank of the Seine just to
enjoy the nice weather and to take some pictures as well. Many people
were having picnics there, playing music, chatting with their friends or
simply laying in the sun. It is definitely a really nice place to relax and
I will go there again as soon as possible!
Around 8 pm I went back the residence where I met with roommate.
One hour later we left to meet up with two girls from Canada and Belgium.
Together we went near Bastille to go to bar and had a really nice evening.
We had to leave around 12 pm though to make sure to catch the last metro!
Summing it up, it was a really great day. :)
